The Ex Hex by Erin Sterling

The Ex Hex is a new light adult fiction book by Erin Sterling.

Nine years ago, Vivienne Jones got her heart broken. And like any young witch she broke the cardinal rule of witchcraft, "never mix magic with vodka," and put a curse on her ex-boyfriend. Even drunk, Vivi knows curse magic is a bad idea but a few bad hair days, a few bad dates, isn't so bad, right?

And it wasn't, until the attractive, charismatic, and infuriatingly easygoing, Rhys Penhallow, returns to Graves Glen, Georgia and he breaks the town's ley lines. What should have been an in-and-out trip to charge the lines, suddenly becomes a quest to save both the town and Rhys' life.

As the connection between Rhys and Vivi gets even stronger, will they be able to focus long enough to do what must be done?

This was such a fun read! I laughed out loud at a few points and I seriously want to be friends with all of the characters. The Ex Hex is basically a RomCom in book format.

I love the setting too. Modern day witches in a small southern town, that actually embraces the weird, what's not to love?

For a book that is light and quick, Sterling was able to put a lot of meat into the story. There's back story and nothing feels left out, nor are there any obvious plot holes that I've noticed.

Super fun. A little bit of steam and light hearted. This one gets 5 stars from me.

That's all for now!
