The Wind Blew In

I am planning a weather themed storytime in a few weeks and love this little classic by Pat Hutchins. The Wind Blew In is basically about a town, where each person loses an item to the wind and they all chase them down until the wind blows back out again.

I thought this could make a really great magnet board, so I put my fairly-mediocre artistic skills to work and drew each of the items the wind blows:

We are going to blow and move our arms like the wind as each item blows by. And at the end when the wind gives back all the items and blows out to see, I am going to use a blue whiteboard marker to draw waves. It’s should be lots of fun and more interactive that way.

That’s all for now!
